About the Artist:
Tommy Anderson has been involved in photography since he was a high school
student in Wisconsin. After a tour in the Army Tommy took photography at the
University of Wisconsin as one of his electives and expanded his skills. During his
career at the Madison, Wisconsin Fire Department he did side work as
photographer and was the photographer for the 115th CES/DEF in the Wisconsin
Air National Guard until his retirement in 1993.
After retiring from the fire department Tommy went into photography full time
and took additional courses in photography and digital design for business at the
Fox Valley Technical College, in Appleton, Wisconsin. Tommy Anderson continued
to improve and did photography used in several books, magazines, and media
organizations.
Tommy was a contributing photographer for ABC News in Los Angeles and is a
member of the National Association of Press Photographers. Tommy Anderson
also was a official photographer for the Riverside County Office of Film and
Television serving as photographer for the Riverside County Airport systems
Airshows in addition to the Planes of Fame Airshows since 2011, and the Wings
over Camarillo Airshow since 2016. Tommy also did photography for the Velocity
Channels Crossroads Car Shows until they ended over Covid. In addition, has also
did photography for the Nixon Presidential Library’s 40th Anniversary of the
Vietnam POW release, Comic-Con International, KFROG radio, just to name a few.
In 2015 Tommy was hired to do set photography for the 2018 Emmy Award
Winning PBS Documentary “Take Me Home Huey” and was also the chief
photographer for the book published documenting the making of the film with
the same name. Tommy also did set photography for the films “Life After
Oblivion”, “The Tale of Richard Pic”, “The Smartly’s”, “PTSD a Soldiers Revenge”.
I am a multiple best-selling author and screenwriter. He also enjoys his role as a
motivational speaker and Host of "The Real Tommy Unleashed" on the IQ Podcast
Network in San Diego and is streamed over 10 stations. His show is heard on
multiple streaming platforms, iTunes, iHeart, Spotify, Apple Play, and more. He is
also an accomplished screenwriter and he has written and has been a Producer
on the award winning short film "Life After Oblivion,", based on his award winning
adapted screenplay. His first feature film screenplay PTSD-A soldiers Revenge is
currently in post-production by Panther Trail Films - Hollywood. Tommy has also
received his first directing credit on the pilot television series "The Tale of Richard
Pic". Since then, he has directed and or produced several award-winning short
films. In addition, Tommy is also routinely cast as an actor in commercials,
television, and films.
Tommy is also a founding member of VetPics Film Productions in San Diego,
California. This is an all-veteran independent film production company which
produced "Life after Oblivion." Most recently he has been seen as the face of the
national Spotify commercial as the man with the dancing dog. His best-selling
novel Haboob Wind is now a feature screenplay, and recently won Best
International Screen Writer by 8.5 Film Awards. and his new novel Two Million
Steps was released in March of 2021 and went to Best Seller on Amazon in two
weeks. Tommy has recently adapted this to a feature screenplay and in addition I
he also recently has written another feature screenplay called "The Broken Road"
a romantic drama that has numerous writing awards internationally. Tommy also
was a co-writer on the best-selling books “A Veterans Story” and “Take me home
Huey.
Currently Tommy is a screenwriting panelist at the San Diego International Kids
Film Festival, speaking on screenwriting basics, Adapting a screenplay from a book
or story, Creating a Pitch Deck, Pitching you script, and more.
In addition to his numerous classes in creative writing, screenwriting, acting,
producing, and film making classes/seminars Tommy has a AD in Fire Engineering,
a BA in Fire Engineering- technology, and a MA in Public Administration,
